What is the System Concept in Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 on Building Materials?

Legislation (CPR) has defined 5 Systems for Building Materials according to the importance level of the products, these systems
are System 1+, System 1, System 1, System 2+, System 3, System 4.
For building materials subject to System 2+ and 4, the manufacturer may have the initial type test performed by any laboratory.
In the building materials subject to System 3, the initial type sample is taken by the company and tested by the Approved Laboratory.
For products subject to System 1 and 1+, the initial type sample is taken by the personnel of the Notified Body and tested in the Laboratory of the Notified Body.
